Paradise by the Dashboard Lights
November 19, 2005Outline for the first movie, which is based on the song Paradise by the Dashboard Lights.
Scene 1. Panoramic shot. An open space. Not much vegetation. In the distance we see a man digging. As I will be filming on a windy day, the noise caused by the wind will be the soundtrack to this scene. After a while, from far away we hear an ancient horn blowing a solemn yet simple tune. Something like this, but in a slower pace and less triumphant.

I booted my machine with the CD. It worked ok, but no soundcard, no network card and X11 in framebuffer 800×600 only. Will try dyne:II beta when I can find time.

It worked!
October 23, 2005I just managed to record a “song” using some DSSI-softsynths, Hydrogen Drums and Rosegarden for sequencing och voice recording. I had a hard time figuring out how to make a mixdown of this to a wav-file. I ended up using the app Timemachine. Probably this is not the right way, but it worked. I won’t publish the song because it wasn’t very good.
